From February 7 to 12, 2023, the semifinals of the 5th China Advanced Technology Transformation and Application Competition were held in Baoding, China. With the theme "Integration of Industry and Innovation, Collaborative Development," the competition was co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and other relevant bodies. It aims to thoroughly implement the innovation-driven development strategy and the regional coordinated development strategy, accelerating the transformation and application of advanced technological achievements. Our company's Flexible Joint for Offshore Platforms successfully passed the preliminary round and participated in these semifinals.

The competition was contested across five major fields: New Generation Information Technology, Advanced Materials, Intelligent Manufacturing, Aerospace and Marine Equipment, and New Energy & Energy-Saving/Carbon Reduction Technologies. Our company's Flexible Joint for Offshore Platforms achieved sixth place in the Aerospace and Marine Equipment group, making it eligible to potentially advance to the finals.

For a long time, core technologies in marine equipment represented by deepwater riser systems in China, particularly deepwater riser flexible joint products, have been monopolized by foreign companies. To change this situation, our company is committed to developing flexible joint products with independent intellectual property rights. Currently, the company has successfully developed a 12-inch flexible joint engineering prototype, which has passed third-party BV certification and been delivered to the customer.

In the future, the company will continue to leverage its advantages in aerospace technology reserves. Building on the developed prototype, the focus will be on conducting multi-specification standardized design work to meet diverse requirements, continually realizing the civilian application of aerospace technological achievements. Simultaneously, the company will increase investment in technology R&D, maintain its leading position in the marine equipment industry, and meet the demands for future national marine resource development.
