The group standard for Polymer-Reinforced Corrosion-Resistant Alloy Composite Steel Pipes for Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries (Standard No.: T/CSTM 01123-2025), jointly drafted by Xi'an Xiangyang Aerospace Materials Co., Ltd. and multiple organizations including CNPC, Sinopec, and CNOOC, has been officially approved and filed with the National Standards Commission. It will come into effect on August 23, 2025.
This newly released group standard comprehensively and systematically specifies the structure, materials and manufacturing, technical requirements, inspection rules, and product labeling of polymer-reinforced corrosion-resistant alloy composite steel pipes for the petroleum and natural gas industries. It provides unified production and application specifications for the entire industry, guiding the sector toward standardized development. This holds profound significance for promoting the independent development of China's oil and gas energy extraction and transportation equipment.
Xi'an Xiangyang Aerospace Materials Co., Ltd. is the first domestic enterprise to successfully research, develop, and manufacture polymer-reinforced corrosion-resistant alloy composite steel pipes for the petroleum and natural gas industries. Since the initial development phase, the company has remained true to its original aspirations and undeterred by challenges. From initial product design to final production, it has developed high-temperature-resistant, high-strength polymers and mastered a series of new technologies, including large-area polymer bonding and curing techniques and large-area rapid pipe-end overlay welding. These breakthroughs have successfully overcome the technological barriers established by European and American companies, achieving domestic substitution. The release of this group standard not only demonstrates the company's strong capabilities in the oil and gas pipeline sector but also marks a significant milestone in the journey toward independent development of China's energy equipment.
Looking ahead, the company will continue to delve into the technological forefront of oil and gas transportation, using innovation as the engine and standards as the link to enhance quality and efficiency. It will actively respond to the national strategic requirements for developing new quality productive forces, promote the integrated development of the industrial and innovation chains, and contribute to the extraction of China's petroleum and natural gas resources.
