The inaugural China Maritime Equipment Expo opened grandly in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, from October 12 to October 15, 2023. This exhibition focused on key areas of maritime equipment, featuring 17 major exhibition zones that comprehensively showcased the latest achievements in China's maritime equipment sector. It deeply emphasized collaborative innovation across industry and supply chains, industry-academia-research cooperation, talent exchange, economic and trade matchmaking, and achievement transformation. Modeled after the Zhuhai Airshow, it aims to become a world-class showcase window for maritime equipment. As an exhibitor, the company made a remarkable appearance, presenting relevant maritime equipment technological achievements.
The rigid catenary riser flexible joint and bimetallic composite pipes developed and manufactured by the company were displayed at this exhibition. Among them, the rigid catenary riser flexible joint, serving as supporting equipment for the offshore drilling platform "Deep Sea No. 1," is the most critical component in the rigid catenary riser system. Due to its special materials, complex design theory, and high manufacturing difficulty, its production technology had been monopolized for many years. To break through this "bottleneck" technology, the company established a dedicated R&D team. Leveraging related projects and the civilian application transfer of advanced technologies from the Power Technology Research Institute, it successfully developed a domestically produced deepwater rigid catenary riser flexible joint. Concurrently, the company's third-generation composite pipe product, the "Polymer-Reinforced Bimetallic Composite Pipe," has also been applied on the "Deep Sea No. 1" platform as an oil and gas transmission pipeline.
